Lazarus

You all know him, you all love him! The original Lazarus zombie is coming back once again to join some new herds! 

Sculpted in 2016, Lazarus was my first original sculpt, first artist resin, first of many things in the hobby. Back then I was casting him at home, in a little corner of my trailer. I had no pressure pot, no rotocaster, I didn’t even have a dehumidifier and it showed!

Only 13 of his original Traditional run exist, 11 of which were made public. I intended him to at least be a run of 50, but when the mold broke, I called it there. As the years have gone by, I’ve hated how few of him exists. Although I respect the scarcity and collectibility of that original run, I’ve always wanted to give him a proper chance, and everyone else a fair chance to own this First Of Many. 

And that’s why he’s coming back from the dead yet again. He will be available in as close to his original design as possible in all scales except Traditional, so those original 13 maintain their value. 

Unlike his first run, each copy will be 3D printed in a custom mix of resins that have been tested and proven to be at least as durable as (if not more than) polyurethane casting resin. This means he will require minimal preparation before being painted, no pinholes or unsightly humidity bubbles. Each copy will be thoroughly cleaned in a two-stage alcohol bath before being dried completely and then absolutely nuked with UV to ensure every last drop is cured. Just because he’s a zombie doesn’t mean his ooze should be real! 

Color may vary, I print based on what resin I have the most of. All of my resins are mixed for durability, so you can rest assured your model will be at least as durable as a cast resin regardless of color!
